Call for electrical engineers and designers! Contribute to developing a delivery method to help keep mumm's standards and deliver the food at its ideal temperature of 76°C.

The Problem:

Mumm is an online marketplace for Value Home Cooked Meals. They deliver healthy and tasty meals using fresh ingredients and prepared by moms, housewives and freelance chefs to your doorstep.They help these peopleو as well as refugees seeking work, earn money through their platform.

They pride themselves on delivering hot meals as if it has just come out of the oven.

However, during winter it's more difficult to keep their high standards due to the cold temperature and the long duration of the trips during bad weather conditions. As such, they are currently looking for a delivery method that will help make it easier for them to keep their promise and deliver food hot to your doorstep.

The Challenge:

Send your ideas for a delivery method to keep the food at its ideal temperature, 76 °C, especailly when delivered in winter. It could be a design for a vespa case, a delivery box, a bag or whatever, the sky's the limit. Just keep in mind the following:

1. The solution should be able to keep the food hot at 76°c for the duration of the delivery trip (between 60 to 90 minutes).
2. The solution should also include a small compartment for colder items (e.g. salad, desserts) such that they are not be affected by the hot food.
3. In case of a box/bag, the maximum dimensions should be 50x50 cm, including the cold items compartment.

Reward & Conditions:

The reward total is 5,000 EGP, in addition to, marketing services, subject to the following:

1. The solution should be provided as a prototype design serving as a proof of concept.
2. The solution should include a clear plan of action indicating the estimated duration for each step and details on the implementation using the reward to create a prototype. The plan should also contain the cost per unit when producing 100 units.
3. The reward will be given in installments, in accordance to milestones set by the solver according to his/her plan of action.
4. Prototype funding is included in the reward itself, unless the solver presents an already made prototype or is able to provide funding for building the prototype from someone/somewhere else.
5. The solution provider should wait for 3 months before commercialising the innovation to other interested entities, in order to, provide the solution seeker and sponsor with an opportunity to leverage the innovation commercially.
6. As per our website policy, in case the intellectuall property rights are not registered, the innovator may only submit a general overview of the solution without any technical details.
