The initiative, which was launched in 2013 with the support of King Abdullah II Fund for Development (KAFD), aims to recycle bread leftovers from hotels, restaurants and schools, dry it to turn it into fodder .
The money from the dry bread, which is sold to traders, is used to provide for underprivileged students and refugees in Jordan.
The initiative, which now runs by the name “Recycling for education”, includes three branches: bread for education, paper for education and plastic for education, and has expanded its work to Kuwait, Palestine and Morocco.
