Innovation & Funding Manager is looking for an Innovation and Funding Manager

 Yomken is a crowdfunding and open-innovation platform owned by Istebdaa’, Inc. – A Cairo-based social startup. We bring up innovative products by bridging the gap between (i) the technical challenges faced by micro- and small entrepreneurs (MSE) working mainly in light industries and (ii) the innovative solutions and ideas of potential problem solvers (students, scientists, entrepreneurs…). Yomken also funds innovative products and prototypes through crowdfunding. The team has successfully accomplished the testing phase and is currently ready to take the platform further.

As our Innovation and Funding Manager, you will be working closely with our pool of partner, entrepreneurs and innovators to understand their needs and determine how may be able to help them in getting solutions for their challenges and/or funds for their innovations.


You will be responsible for…


Refining, managing, and analyzing the submitted innovations, challenges and solutions;

Connecting directly with our innovators and conduct regular field visits to our MSE customers and partner NGOs in order to ensure the coordination of different activities;

Identifying and exploring potential synergies with new Egyptian and regional initiatives that align with Yomken’s model and help to attain its strategic goals;

Presenting ongoing findings and recommendations to key stakeholders;

Assuming responsibilities for the CEO when the CEO is absent.

We look for someone with…


1-3 years of practical experience in relevant field;

BA or Masters in Business Intelligence, Innovation Management, Finance, International Development, Economics or any other related fields;

Fluent Arabic and English written and spoken skills (French is a plus);

Proven analytical, organizational and leadership skills;

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively;

Good knowledge of the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem in Egypt.
