Design A Thermal Pot

This challenge aims to create an attractive design for a new innovation of a power efficient pot to help the lower-middle & middle income families save power and cook easier.

 

An innovator from Alexandria created a new innovative pot that saves the thermal energy in the water and keep it within the pot to cook. The main concept of the pot is that it uses this thermal energy to finish cooking with the flames turned off. Basically, as soon as the water starts boiling, the user will turn off the flame, cover the pot and leave it until the food is cooked. The pot keeps the heat at 100 °C for 10 minutes, after it will decrease to 90 °C. Then it will keep decreasing by 10 °C every hour until the food is cooked. Even after the food is cooked it will keep it warm.

The idea is very simple and will help lower-middle & middle income families save power and make cooking easier for them once it’s in the market. However, the current pot is not ready for the market as it’s not attractive and the innovator doesn’t have the necessary experience to come up with an attractive design.

The challenge is to submit an initial attractive design for the pot as follows:

1. It should be 20 cm high and 25 cm in diameter.
2. The material should be either stainless or aluminum.

The award total will be 6000 EGP + 10%  from the profit, given as follows:

- The winner will be given 1500 EGP to make a prototype and the rest will be given after it’s made.
