Crowdsolving reaches its third destination by expanding in Jordan, Morocco and Palestine

Solutions & Inovations

Fierce technological competition in the international economy, coupled with low funding and inefficient management of scientific research in the Arab world, motivated Yomken.com to expand in the region to spread its CrowdSolving services. Yomken.com connects social and industrial challenges with recent scientific innovations in Arab world, which enhances the added value and creates job opportunities for youth in the region.

With this in mind, Yomken.com signed agreements with Tech Tribes in Jordan, Happy Smala in Morocco, and BuildPalestine to spread the CrowdSolving services in these countries after the success it has achieved in Egypt and Tunisia.

The CrowdSolving model identifies and articulates specific challenges facing different audiences and introduces them to a range of innovators, students and scientists who are then invited to provide innovative, efficient and economical solutions through the electronic platform of Yomken.com.

Over the past five years, CrowdSolving has provided the market with more than 40 locally-made and cost-efficient innovations, including: a domestic sand filter for groundwater, a harvesting machine for long-stapled Egyptian cotton, a solution for automatic

sorting of vegetables through artificial intelligence, a mobile phone charger with a dynamo connected to a bicycle and other affordable solutions.

The platform also encourages a large number of innovators to transform their ideas into applicable solutions, register them as patents and market them on an international level.

Commenting on the new expansion, Tamer Taha, founder of Yomken.com said: "This new step is part of our regional expansion efforts and an attempt to spread the CrowdSolving model as an effective solution to development and industrial challenges in other countries in the region, following the success of our expansion in Tunisia last year."

Yomken.com was recently granted funding by Expo Live of the Expo Dubai 2020, to facilitate this expansion and fund a number of innovations that will contribute to solving the challenges facing community institutions and companies in Morocco and Jordan.
