Injection Machine and Tricolor Printing

The Challenge:

​This family-business workshop of Mahmoud El Kewary, located in Manshiet Nasser (Cairo), is striving to compete with the Chinese shoes and sandals that have invaded the Egyptian market. The workshop’s production is limited and does not meet the market demand due to the long-time taken by its production cycle with the current resources it has. Despite the good quality of the product, the appearance sometimes does not appeal to the customer due to the lack of efficient machines needed for the finishing. For example, he’s obliged to produce unicolor shoe insoles while the imported Chinese products have tricolor shoe insoles. This results in a lower demand on the shoes and sandals of Mr El kiwi. Therefore, the workshop owners are asking your help for ideas to increase their production capacity notably in terms of submitting ideas for a mini-injection machine and/or a low-cost tricolor solution for printing on their shoe. 

Technical Specifications of the needed machines:

1- Injection Machine

The workshop needs a low-cost design for a mini-injection machine that could produce around 100 pairs per day. This will help increase the productivity of the workshop and thus increases its profits.

2- A Solution for Tricolor printing

Also to compete with Chinese producers, the workshop is asking for ideas to automate the printing process of its shoes and sandals. This will make its products more appealing to the customers and increase its sales.
